One More Piece of Ti on the Seven

Just replaced the UN54 BB with a 113 mm Phil Wood Ti with SS cups, about 80 grams lighter.

First Spring Day Ride 09

High 50 totally melted Watershed's winter coat. Small streams were happily flowing down Gambrill Park Road. It felt so great that I didn't have to ride in Lake boots and three layers of clothing any more. A 16-mile ride left the bike covered with gray mud from the gravel road.

p.s. Iceberg was a lot harder without the gaps being filled with snow.

Gambrill Snow Ride

Four days after snow storm, time to ride Gamrbill? Maybe.

The original plan was to ride Iceberg. I drove pass Mountaindale plowing limit and realized it was not a good idea to keep going up. Moved back to Hamburg lot and met up with Denis but the condition there wasn't any better. So Gambrill was the final destination.

In short, I had to pedal most of the downhill and hike the up. A short 8-mile loop took over three hours and I went home half exhausted.

Iceberg

First taste of iceberg today - Brian, Chris, Denis, Marty and I braved the cold weather. It was a very enjoyable trail! Thumbs-up to those who built it. It was awesome!

I wasn't able to do the big rocks, and walked a few sections where I put a foot down and couldn't restart, but managed to ride most of it on the Seven. I'm sure I'll go back many times.
